The History of Lithophane goes back 100's of years. It is a carving in a material that allows light through when carved thin enough to show the object. We use the same material that is used for solid surface counter tops. When back lit they take on 3D prosperities and really enhance the photo. I personally prefer hanging them in a sun lit window, but if you want to highlight a area in any room we do provide a framed lithophane with LED light installed. This makes a wonderful night light. Either choice we are sure you will be Happy.
When ordering a lithophane, lets say a 5"x7" that will be the size of the carved area, the material size will be 6"x8", having a 1/2" boarder on all four sides. The finished quality of the Lithophane will depend on the quality of photo you e-mail us. Sharpness and resolution are very important, please no images less then 300 dpi.

lithophane, you will be pleased with the detail, after doing my first one I couldn't believe the way it turned out.
1) E-mail me your photo of choice, in a bmp. or jpeg. file format only.
2) make sure the photo is attached to e-mail and include your shipping address and name that matches the PayPal invoice, so I can match the photo with the money transfer. ( this is important )
